Spring has sprung and SLC will be celebrating Mother Earth April 18-22 with Earth Week events that will get you outside and thinking about how we can support the ecological health of our campuses.
Monday, April 18 - Tri-Campus Community Clean Up Day
Register below to help clean up our campuses and surrounding areas and keep plastic and other waste out of our waterways.
Join us from 11am to 1:30pm in the café on your campus and we will venture out together, weather permitting.

Tuesday, April 19 - Create a Pollinator House
Create a pollinator house to help pollinators on campus thrive!
We will be building pollinator houses in the Kingston campus café from 11am to 1:30pm.
Bee populations around the world are declining, with many species of bees becoming endangered and, in some cases, extinct faster than ever before. Humans and bee survival is intertwined. Without bees, we risk doing significant damage to ourselves and our world’s ecosystems.
Humans, plants, and animals depend on bees to sustain life. As bee populations decline, the risk that we will lose important processes that bees help to facilitate increases.
Thursday, April 21 - Indigenous Planting Day
Come help clean and prepare the Indigenous Garden for the planting season.
Join us from 11:30am to 1pm outside in the Indigenous Garden on the Kingston campus.
