Tips and Reminders for Students
Check that you are prepared: Attending college can be an overwhelming process for some and this Student Checklist is one of many resources to help make a transition for our students easier. Students can use the checklist as their guide to ensure they are fully prepared to begin or continue their journey at SLC.
Get oriented: Students will join virtually for the Winter 2021 Orientation Programming. Students can find more details in their student email and on the UR SLC app. The orientation page contains important information about accessing Orientation Programming, mandatory International Orientation, and the Virtual Services fair on January 13-15, 2021.
Get help fast if you need it: A Live Chat is available on the SLC website to help students navigate the website as well as other services offered. Alternatively, students can also text 613.801.8580 from their mobile phone to chat with a representative. Chats will be monitored Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Students Studying Virtually
A list of resources and tips has been created for students who have courses being delivered by alternative methods. Blackboard, slc.me, and the UR SLC student engagement app are key resources for students to access information, course materials, and activities.
Tip: Students should access Blackboard through their slc.me account - this can help avoid error messages.
