This is another testament to the collaborative support that our various SLC teams continue to provide to our students.”

“I’m so proud of all our student teams and faculty advisors,” said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. “The fact that we have five of the eight teams going into the final pitch speaks to the hands-on learning that is integral to our programs and the creativity and innovation that is continually fostered in the college environment.”

The winning team of the Dunin-Deshpande Smart Kingston Stream will receive admission to a four-month incubator program with the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre. Winners from the Public Sector Innovation Stream will receive a four-month paid internship with a municipal department with the City of Kingston. The winning team will be awarded an operating budget of $10,000 to implement their idea, and gain access to a full slate of resources and mentorship from City staff.
