Overview

The advanced level program focuses on oral communication and expression, with reading assignments outside the classroom. These courses are ideal for those wishing to keep up their fluency in French, or for those moving beyond the first level certificate. Learn to express yourself proficiently in a relaxed environment under the guidance of an expert instructor.

Program Outline

2020-2021

This course is designed for students who want to acquire the confidence to communicate more fluently at an advanced level. Emphasis will be on oral discussions and conversations while reviewing and improving written skills. Prerequisite: LANG 601K or equivalent.

During this course, the students will become familiar with certain elements of the French language and also of the French culture while continuing the adventures of the mystery presented in the last course. Emphasis will be made on the oral communication and the comprehension of the student. Prerequisite:  LANG 9 or equivalent.

Students will familiarize themselves with certain elements of the French language culture while continuing the adventures of the mystery presented in the last two courses. Emphasis will be made on the oral communication and the comprehension of the student.  Prerequisite:  LANG 10 or equivalent

During this course, students will gain knowledge of certain language elements as well as of the French culture in the French speaking world. Students will continue the adventures of the mystery presented in the last three courses.  Emphasis will be made on the personal and professional application of the elements studied.  Prerequisite:  LANG 11 or equivalent.

To register for courses you must hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) or the equivalent, or must qualify for mature student status (19 years of age or older).
