POSITION SUMMARY
Reports to Manager, Domestic Recruitment, and under the guidance of the designate, the student incumbent works up to 30 hours per week (may include evenings and/or weekends) providing support to the Recruitment Department. This includes greeting and answering inquiries of both current and prospective students as well as performing administrative tasks to gain work experience while aiding in the operations of the department. The successful incumbent demonstrates strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills, combined with an ability to work under pressure, and problem-solve while working independently.
Incumbent is often the first point of contact for the College and is responsible for setting a positive, professional tone in interactions with all clients, moving them through a defined sales process or directly them appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet students, staff, and faculty in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Provide general information about St. Lawrence College and the Kingston campus and direct inquiries to appropriate areas.
- Assist with various events such as: Kingston campus tours and recruitment initiatives.
- Assist in development and implementation of school activities and information events.
- Perform other customer service duties as assigned.
- Reply to general e-mail inquiries and phone messages.
- Assist with major mail-outs, phone campaigns and other marketing efforts.
- Compile statistical reports.
- On occasion, may be asked to perform other duties as assigned, such as special functions (i.e., orientation, convocation, open house, awards dinners, etc.).
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Other Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively work independently with instruction, and collaboratively with a team.
- Understanding of, and ability to demonstrate, the principles of confidentiality.
- Understanding of standard computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Teams, & Email).
- High degree of integrity for maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.
Salary & Terms
- Start Rate: $17.20/hour, (plus 6% in lieu of vacation)
- Hours per week: 30.00

Terms of Employment:
- Must be returning to Full-Time studies in the Fall 2025 semester.
- Must be in good academic standing for full duration of employment.
