Hello folks,
I want to wish everyone a great start to the winter semester! Today students in several Health Sciences programs resume classes, along with some of our apprentices, and on-campus practical labs and workshops continue as well. I also want to share information about updates to the College’s mask policy, as whether you are back in person now, or later when we exit the current stage of restrictions, wearing a mask and adhering to the SLC mask policy is a key requirement of being on campus.
You can review SLC’s mask policy here, and it has been updated to reflect current recommendations from public health. Please note that effective today, medical grade masks will now be available at all campus entry points for SLC students and employees entering our buildings. Folks are encouraged to use the masks SLC is providing, to replace any cloth masks that are not three-ply with a recommended filter, or to wear in addition to personal cloth masks. SLC students and employees are reminded to take a moment to review the information on our website which outlines the steps we are taking to keep our campus community as safe as possible, and to become familiar with the daily health screening questions in the SLC SAFE app, as they have been updated to reflect the new requirements related to symptoms and COVID-19 protocols.
Thank you to everyone who has already re-submitted your proof of vaccination status in the SLC SAFE app. If you have not yet done so, and even if you are not coming to campus in the near future, please ensure your proof of vaccination is submitted.
