St. Lawrence College provides a variety of career and employment-related services in our community.
Our Career Services provides employment supports to current College students on all three campuses. The College also operates three Employment Ontario sites (Kingston, Sharbot Lake, and Ottawa) that provide services for residents in those communities. To support both the Career and Employment Services, the College operates the region’s largest job board. If you are looking to hire or looking for employment opportunities, visit the SLC job board.
"I am ever so grateful for the help and encouragement of Employment Services at St. Lawrence College. Specifically, Ashley was an immense support during this last year of Covid-19. I was offered upgrades to my resume, interview techniques, Second Career options as well as weekly emails of new postings. I am ever so grateful for the support and motivation. This is a free service but by no means does the guidance you receive reflect this. I found an amazing job and I am thrilled. "

"The service was exemplary and I was quick to replace tension with hope and every session left me feeling more confident and closer to my dream job. Tara made my transition smoother and I got my first managerial job after just 10 months in Canada, working as a branch manager with a staffing firm. I think the work that Tara and her team are doing goes a long way in adding value to people’s lives and more importantly helping people actualize their dreams and aspirations."

"Every time I walked into St. Lawrence Employee centre, emailed, or called, Namakau was smiling, super-nice, and super active. She would make as many calls as possible to get someone on the phone to refer me to. She was quickly searching for a job available and refer me to it. I got a permanent job in my field of study during Covid-19."

"I have a job offer! I could just cry! I turn 40 on Saturday and let me tell you, getting a non-retail job in Kingston has been one of my greatest challenges since returning from the Caribbean - thank you for all of your help!"

"I now have a full-time job at Anchor Concrete. Initially I was hired as purchasing specialist, then laid off for 6 weeks due to Covid-19. Then asked to return to work to learn how to schedule production of the plant as well as purchasing. It’s super busy but I absolutely love it. St. Lawrence has helped me so much after such a loss of losing my job and to being able to have the awesome people to guide me back into the work force."
