Sine Lam is an emerging artist based in Brockville, ON. She studied Fashion Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Fine Art at St. Lawrence College. Her work blends symbolism, realism, and surrealism, exploring human emotion, connection, and time. Inspired by nature, women, and memories, she captures urban loneliness - beautiful yet melancholic. Her series, "The Passage of Time," reflects urban city life. Her work has been featured in various group exhibitions, including at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery at St. Lawrence College.
Statement
I am drawn to contrasts, emotions such as beauty mixed with sadness, peace with loneliness. My art uses symbolism, realism, and surrealism to explore urban solitude, human emotion, and time. Inspired by nature, flowers, and daily moments, I capture reflection and connection through painting, drawing, and mixed media. My work appears beautiful yet carries quiet melancholy, reflecting fast city life. Through "The Passage of Time," I explore loneliness and change, seeking a deeper connection between humans and nature.
