Community Gratitude – Emancipation Day 2023 
Emancipation Weekend Celebrations in Kingston were a great success, with representation from SLC at the forefront! There were many Black owned businesses and artists who shared their integral and creative products, services and art with the Kingston community, many of which with an SLC connection.
Former Alumni Branch President Aims to Plant Tree of Peace
The Tree of Peace project at the Brockville campus has been initiated by Keith Hare, a long-time staff member of the Brockville campus and an SLC alumnus. He is now reaching out to colleagues, alumni, and community members to support the commemorative tree.
SLC's THRIVE Community Welcomes, Celebrates, and Supports Students
The Mission Statement of our THRIVE Community is to build a safe and authentic community where every student is welcomed, celebrated, and supported without judgment, so they can grow into who they are and make our school and the world a more wonderful place. THRIVE helps students find a safe place where they can be themselves and build authentic and meaningful friendships.
Introducing the Annual Report – A Look Back at Our Success
Every year SLC produces an Annual Report, an important, ministry required document outlining how the College performed over the last fiscal year and demonstrates how the priorities outlined in the strategic plan, SLC in Five, were actualized. The Annual Report for 2022-2023 is now online and it highlights the stories about Our People, Our Programs, Our Students, and Our Communities. 
Opportunities to Reduce Plastic Use During Plastic-Free July
Did you know that from the 3 million tonnes of plastic waste generated by Canadians every year, only 9% is recycled - the rest ends up in landfills. Choose to refuse single-use plastic and take part in our ongoing campaign Plastic-Free July.
