SLC opens its doors in Cornwall and Brockville, November 4, Kingston, November 18  
 SLC is holding its in-person Open House event on the Cornwall and Brockville campuses this coming Saturday, November 4, and in Kingston, November 18. During Open House, prospective students tour campus and residence, gather information about SLC’s services and supports, and participate in fun activities and giveaways.   
SLC Representatives Visit Rose Rocket Headquarters Ahead of Opening of Lab
On October 19, Patrick Egbunonu, Dean, Faculty of Business and Community Services and Teresa Pires, Associate Dean, General Business, accompanied Jessica Kostuck, Associate Director of Development on a stewardship visit to the headquarters of Rose Rocket Inc in Toronto. 
SLC’s Spark Creates Historical Documentary for Loyalist Township 
Spark is thrilled to reveal 'Legacies of Loyalist,' a compelling documentary that explores the rich historical essence of Loyalist Township, brought to life through six enthralling narratives. This endeavor, graciously backed by the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area, saw Spark in collaborative action with Loyalist Township, to encapsulate and disseminate an oral history destined to resonate with and galvanize both present and ensuing generations within the Loyalist community. 
Placements Make Students Career Ready  
Did you know that more than 4500 SLC students went on a placement last year? Placements are one of the most important ways our students become career ready, and a key component of the experiential learning opportunities of a college education.
Faculty Present Research at National Conference  
We had the pleasure of representing the College and sharing our research presentation at the prestigious Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) Conference in Ottawa this past week. This year’s 2023 theme was “A Palliative Care Revolution.” It was wonderful to collaborate with Tanvi Nandani and Maria Karizhenskaia who are recent graduates of the HCA Program and now part-time professors (with a keen interest in research) in our program!
