An update from Kevin Biggs, Manager, Athletics & Student Engagement on the fall term and successes of individual and team award winners recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) and Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA).

Today is Remembrance Day, a day to commemorate Canada’s soldiers who fought and died for our freedom and democracy. Flags on campus are lowered in their honour. SLC recently welcomed Richard Webster as the College’s first International Education Manager, Community Development. In his own words, Richard answers some questions about his new role and what it will mean for international students.

SLC staff and faculty will present three sessions at the Canadian Bureau of International Education (CBIE) virtual conference November 15-19, 2021. The focus for the conference is a dialogue to reimagine community on a global scale.

Following the success of last year’s donation of meals to Martha’s Table, second-year Culinary Management students will once again be supplying full-course meals for 100 of their clients October 28 and again on December 16.
