SLC's School of Skilled Trades Hosts "Super" PAC Meeting
SLC’s School of Skilled Trades Hosts a Successful “Super” Program Advisory Committee Meeting  On June 13th, SLC’s School of Skilled Trades made history by hosting a “Super” Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting in the Innovation Hub on the Kingston campus. The event was a first for the college and a resounding success, with close to 100 community members and industry leaders in attendance.  
Students Offer Marketing Communications Insights to Fuel Local Not-for-Profit Growth 
While marketing is traditionally known for promoting products and services, there's an increasing emphasis on its potential to address social issues such as public health, social justice, and sustainability.    To explore social marketing while gaining real-world experience, students in St. Lawrence College’s Digital Marketing Communications (DMC) program are learning to leverage marketing communications to create positive social impact in their communities. 
Pre-Convocation Celebration for Indigenous Graduates  
We were delighted to host a pre-convocation celebration in honour of our Indigenous graduates on June 12 in St. Larry’s Pub.   Ross McMillan, Director of Student Services, Engagement, and Libraries started the evening off in a good way with a personal and meaningful Land Acknowledgement. Shelley Aylesworth-Spink, Vice President of Student Affairs/Student Success, brought words of congratulation and encouragement on behalf of the College Executive Team, and Holly Brant, Indigenous Counsellor, offered words of inspiration and affirmation from our Indigenous team.
SLC Professor Recognized with Excellence in Education Award 
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to education, Barry Botham, SLC professor of General Carpentry was honoured with the Barry C. O'Connor Excellence in Education Award by the Limestone District School Board last week. Through his dedication to the skilled trades department and his involvement in Interdisciplinary Studies and Pathways, Barry consistently demonstrated his commitment to advancing the importance of skilled trades and their programs.
