Join an SCTL Community of Practice
Communities of Practice (CoPs) are groups of individuals who share common goals, similar interests, and experiences. These groups work together to refine their practice by learning from one another and engaging in an open exchange of ideas or strategies.  The primary functions of a CoP are to create and share knowledge. This knowledge is gained as practitioners participate in the activity that is the focus of the CoP. This practical experience is then enhanced through collaborative reflection by the group of practitioners.

It is important that the conversation of consent goes beyond the first six weeks of school and expands into all relationships, not just intimate ones.

Employees can earn credit for college-level learning
Did you know that SLC allows employees to earn credit for college-level learning gained outside the classroom? Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) can be applied to work, volunteering, self-study, travel, military training, or other life experiences.   PLAR is completed on a course-by-course basis. If a connection can be made between demonstrated learning and the course learning outcomes, you may be eligible to apply for PLAR.
