Pause, Reflect, and Remember on the National Day of Mourning
On any given workday in Canada, three people will die from a job-related fatality, life-altering injury or occupational disease. On April 28th of each year we pause, reflect and remember those workers who left home to go to their job and never returned home.
Graphic Design Student Creates Comics to Destigmatize Mental Health at SLC
A student’s idea to talk about mental health to reduce stigma in a comic strip has been selected by SLC’s Integrated Mental Health Strategy’s (IMHS) core team for further development. Hailey Clark, a third-year Graphic Design student created the comic strip as part of the Design Your Community project in the fifth semester course Graphic Design 5.
Student Projects Promote Sustainability in Meaningful Ways
Students in Professor Jordan Ann Kevan de Hann’s tri-campus course, GENE 115: Creating a Sustainability Society, have just finished their Sustainability Action Projects, designing meaningful projects that also promote cultural, economic, environmental, and/or cultural sustainability. A key component of their projects was to also advance multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, according to Jordan Ann.
Collaboration Between Human Resources and Project Management Students Prepares for Interview Scenarios
This spring, graduating students from St. Lawrence College’s Human Resources and Project Management Graduate Certificate programs collaborated on an interdisciplinary experience called The Interview, whereby each program focused on the various requirements of both Recruitment/Selection (R&S) and Career Readiness/Personal Leadership courses.
