Student Experience Survey launches February 7
The College’s Student Experience Survey launches on February 7, 2022 for domestic and international students at SLC and our partners Alpha College, and Canadian College.
Skills Advance Ontario funding provides experience and equipment
A 12x16 timber frame structure built by 10 students in an upskilling construction program at SLC will stay on campus and be available to students in the Carpentry Techniques program who will learn raising and lowering techniques with timber frame structures.
Black History Month at SLC
February is Black History Month which provides all Canadians with an opportunity to become better informed about the contributions made by Black Canadians throughout history, as well as insight into their experiences. Here are three ways you can participate and engage during Black History Month.
SLC professor wins provincial award of excellence
Dr. Maha Othman, professor in SLC’s BScN program and adjunct professor in the Queen’s University Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, has received a Minister of Colleges and Universities’ Award of Excellence in the category of Everyday Heroes for having stepped up and made a difference during the pandemic and the 2020-2021 school year. The award was given to Dr. Othman during a virtual celebration held on Friday, January 21 hosted by the Honorable Jill Dunlop, Minister of Colleges and Universities.
