SLC Carpentry Students Build Library Carts 
When SLC’s Cornwall campus library needed to replace their library carts, they did not have to look far. Ann Small, library coordinator, was so impressed with the projects that the General Construction Carpentry Techniques program students were working on that she decided to ask them if they would build the three carts needed.

SLC Students at Spark Help Hülpr As They Map Out the Older Adult Experience
The senior’s experience is impacted by the actions of those around them. Spark created informed journey maps to highlight the interactions between seniors, their relatives, and the home care agencies supporting independent living. By understanding these connections, Hülpr aims to create an application that promotes the independence of seniors, reduces the anxiety of relatives, and eases the strain on retirement homes.
Alumna Establishes Resiliency Bursary for SLC Students
Chantal Borst is an SLC graduate (Integrated Marketing Communications 2003) who chose to make her first gift to the College this year and establish The Resiliency Bursary, which will be awarded to a Marketing student who has overcome personal or economic challenges to pursuing their learning goals, with special consideration for equity-deserving students or single parents.
